On New Years Eve, we went on a jet boat in the canyon, which was very very terrifying but very very fun! The driver went under rocks and almost hit his head so many times and also almost hit the boat alot! I kept telling myself, dude hes going to hit his head why am i here?! But he was very trained, and we were okay! And on the ride there we drove on a bus on very narrow roads right by cliffs and even saw where the 6th mission impossible movies helicopter stunt was filmed! [I probably messed it up, its maybe the 8th i cant remember]
After that, we boated with an angry driver to the city to party for new years!! The driver was mean. He yelled at a old man. Very loudly, i may add. Respect your elders! There was a band with a brazilian and we stayed until 2:00 am!! It was so much fun!

The next day, we packed the hotel, filed into the car and drove off toward a big house in Wānaka! But before we arrived at the house, we went bungy jumping over a strong river in the cliffs! Well, swinging. I didnt get to jump because we had no time, but i wouldve! There was a sign in front of the swing that said “Too brave to ride the zipline but too pussy for the bungy jump? Go on the swing!” So me, Marina and my mom did, but im not pussy. Who said im pussy? No one did. Yeah thats what i thought.
The swing was a drop-down thing that was basically only held by our weight, so the drop was basically a FREEFALL until it started swinging. You can imagine my mom…

After that, we ate some delicious as heck ramen and went to the house! The house was absolutely HUGE. A remote farm with two bunnies living in the yard, 3 jacuzzi’s, an ice bath, sauna, 6 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, a THEATRE room, and a whole seperate cottage?! And it cost half of the hotels cost? This economy is CRAZY i tell you!!
Afterwards, we did some trekking up Roys peak and got to a mini picnic spot which looked alot like a liminal space! -for normal humans unlike me who have no idea what that is, liminal spaces are beautiful places that give off eerie or uneasy vibes. Theyre fun :)-

After it started raining so we went home and chilled out for awhile.
The next day, everyone but me, Marina and my mom went biking again. Not wanting to bike again due to stress the last trip caused, we went to a lavender farm instead! It had animals, a lavender bakery, and more!!

(This is my plushie uzi)
We then joined the biking fanatics for ramen again then went home to use the jacuzzi, sauna and ice bath for an hour or two and my dad cooked a barbacue that vanished in 5 minutes :D
The next day, we checked out of the house and on the way to our new hotel went to the lavender farm again with everyone this time! I made a cat shadow :3

After, we hit the road to Frans Joseph and stopped at a waterfall on the way! A waterfall of ice cold water from the mountains… and i jumped in. And got 6 other people to jump in, including 2 strangers. Im so POWERFUL.
We also stopped at a beach for walking! I got some rocks for my teacher! And also broke my mosquito bite record.

The next day after we got to the hotel the night before, it was MARINAS (Nrw Zealand timezone because we are a day ahead) BIRTHDAY!! That day we trekked to see fox glacier!! Which is one of the only glaciers that go in a temperate rainforest ☝️🤓
We also went to another glacier called Frans Joseph glacier then we went to the hotel and ate a special dinner with cake for Marina!
Now we are at today, in the car leaving a tree zipline location after checking out of our hotel to go to the next! I’ll see you guys there!! Thaks for reading!
